BSc Hons, MSc, DClinPsy, CPsychol
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. I completed a Masters of Science in Mental Health at King’s College London and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychologist at Royal Holloway, University of London.
I have had the privilege of working for several years across a number of NHS specialist mental health, weight management, bariatric, neurodevelopmental and physical health treatment services and third sector bereavement services. I currently work as lead Clinical Psychologist for a specialist weight management service in London. I specialise in supporting people with weight, body and food/eating related difficulties in a compassionate and non-judgemental manner. This includes supporting people with body image, improving relationships with food, self-esteem, binge and emotional eating.
I work collaboratively with individuals to make sense of current experiences within the wider context of their life, taking into consideration biological, psychological and social factors through comprehensive assessment. This shared conceptual understanding forms the basis of clear treatment plans with tailored, meaningful, and actionable goals to improve difficulties and live a valued life.
I take an integrative, evidence-based approach to supporting individuals, drawing on trauma focused approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and mindfulness. I am guided by core principles of integrity, safety and authenticity to create a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship which creates the foundational basis for change. I work holistically, honouring the relationship between the mind and body drawing on polyvagal theory to cultivate safety and respect for bodily changes in response to threat.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling the world, soaking up the sun and sampling new cuisines to cook at home and share with loved ones.
